Terms of use

Draft: to be reviewed by counsel

This text is a draft. Every point marked "[To be reviewed by counsel: …]" still has to be completed and checked by a lawyer before this page is binding.

These terms govern the use of the PowerGridTools website, the browser app, the desktop clients and the related services.

The service is provided by the operator named in the imprint. [To be reviewed by counsel: legal entity, registered address and registration details.]

You need an account to use the app. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that are misused.

The scope of the service depends on the package assigned to your account (for example bus limits, drive quota, AI credits and desktop clients). Paid packages are agreed individually with our sales team. [To be reviewed by counsel: contract formation, prices, invoicing and term.]

Do not attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, do not share accounts, and do not upload content you are not allowed to process.

Projects and files you store remain yours. You grant us the rights needed to store and process them to provide the service.

PowerGridTools supports engineering work but does not replace the judgement of a qualified engineer. Check results before you rely on them. [To be reviewed by counsel: warranty and limitation of liability.]

We work to keep the service available and may change or improve it. [To be reviewed by counsel: service levels, maintenance windows and notice periods.]

[To be reviewed by counsel: governing law, place of jurisdiction and consumer provisions.]

The sample networks in the Samples folder of every drive and in the live demo are drawings by PowerGridTools, made with its assistant Electra, of published benchmark systems: the IEEE 14-, 30-, 57- and 118-bus test cases of the University of Washington Power Systems Test Case Archive, and the WSCC 3-machine 9-bus system from P. M. Anderson and A. A. Fouad, Power System Control and Stability. The system data belongs to its authors and publishers and is used with this attribution. [To be reviewed by counsel: the redistribution of the published test-case data.]
